Bearded Theory

Bearded Theory offers a laid-back, escape-from-reality vibe reminiscent of Glastonbury without the step count. Set in the beautiful Catton Park, this festival combines great music with a relaxed atmosphere and family-friendly environment.

Bearded Theory returns in 2026, running 20-24 May at Derbyshire. With a capacity of around 15,000, it sits at the mid-size end of the UK festival calendar. It is set up to work for families, so all ages are welcome.

Expect a folk, punk feel. Alt, folk, punk fans will feel right at home, with past lineups featuring Pixies, Garbage, Skunk Anansie, Iggy Pop, Manic Street Preachers, The Sisters of Mercy.
