Cardiff's free Welsh-language festival fills Bute Park for a weekend each June, and 2026 marks its twentieth year. Run by Menter Caerdydd, it spreads five music stages across the park alongside a kids' village, sports area, street food and market stalls. No ticket is needed and non-Welsh speakers are genuinely welcome, which makes it one of the easiest ways into Welsh-language music and culture.
Tafwyl returns in 2026, running 20-21 Jun at Bute Park, Cardiff. It is set up to work for families, so all ages are welcome.
